Dr. Linda Register

Veterinarian

Dr. Linda Register is a native Floridian. Receiving her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, (DVM), degree from the University of Florida in 1996. Dr. Register obtained her Certified Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA) certificate from the Chi Institute in 2009. She complimented that with a becoming a Certified Veterinary Food Therapist in 2018.

Upon graduation she practiced with private small animal day and emergency veterinary hospitals providing regular and relief veterinary services for the Tampa Bay area. In 2010 she started East-West Animal Hospital.

Her holistic medicine interests include Behavior, Nutraceuticals, Western Herbs, and Nutrition. She is currently enrolled in the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine to obtain a masters degree in Chinese Medicine.

Dr. Register is married with one daughter. She owns 1 dog and 2 cats, all of which are rescues. Dr. Register is active in a classic car club, as well as an avid Gator Fan. In her spare time she enjoys reading fiction books and working in her garden. Dr. Register is an adamant crafter, often browsing Pinterest for new ideas on how to make simple things interesting. When not browsing, she can be found creating Harry Potter crafts with her daughter, or at Painting with a Twist creating a new masterpiece.

Dr. Gina Ushi

Veterinarian

Dr. Gina Ushi is a veterinarian and freelance medical writer. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Dr Ushi currently works in the Tampa Bay area, providing compassionate medical care to dogs and cats. Alongside her clinical work, she also leverages her expertise through consulting projects and writing articles about pet health, sharing her knowledge to educate and inspire fellow pet owners!

Her professional interests include emergency and critical care, wildlife medicine, nutrition, hospice and palliative care.
In her free time, Dr Ushi enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Chris Ludlow

Veterinarian

A Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Dr. Ludlow established Veterinary Internal Medicine Diagnostics with a commitment to providing the highest quality internal medicine for pets and personalized service.
Dr. Ludlow earned his DVM with honors from Kansas State University (KSU) in 1986. After graduation he worked in a busy small animal general practice in southern California for five years. He then returned to the KSU and completed a combined internal medicine/small animal clinical nutrition residency and Masters Degree program. Upon completion of his internal medicine residency, Dr. Ludlow then spent an additional year establishing a clinical nutrition service at KSU. After finishing his clinical nutrition training, Dr. Ludlow joined the internal medicine faculty at KSU for one and a half years before going into private specialty medicine at Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Kansas City in where he served as a staff internist with this group of nine specialists for 6 years.
Dr. Ludlow has more than 16 years of experience in ultrasound and endoscopy in university and referral hospital settings. When not busy consulting with veterinarians or lecturing, Dr. Ludlow enjoys cycling, hiking, nearly all types of music and the occasional bottle of good wine.”

Sandy

LVT, CVPM

Beginning the journey in 1993, Sandy worked as an assistant with a small animal practice in northern Florida. In eighteen years with wonderful mentors she passed the NVTE (National Veterinary Technician Exam) to become a LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician) and her CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager). Out-growing the practice she moved on to experience many different facets of veterinary medicine; multi-doctor, multi-location, corporate, consulting, emergency and specialty. Learning and growing through the process, Sandy brings her experience and knowledge to EWAH. She is also Fear-Free Certified!
In her spare time, Sandy enjoys being hands on. DIY projects, kayaking, theme parks, travel and family. Sandy shares her home with her husband and a dog Penny and cats Mo and Peter.

Lisa

CVT

Lisa completed her studies of Veterinary Technology with Hillsborough Community College in May 2021, although she continues learning at EWAH.

Lisa has an adorable JRT mix named Matilda, as well as an Australian Cattle Dog named Milano. On her off time she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her pets. On her off time Lisa loves to travel and explore nature.

Patty

CSR

Patty was born and raised in Connecticut, Patty has been a part of the EWAH team since summer of 2020. She has a degree in social work and spent many years helping others before stepping back. She just moved from California but has lived all over the world even spending two years in Taiwan.

At home Patty has 3 furry members –Rocky, Bo, Cody, all of which are rescues. Outside of work Patty enjoys spending time with her family, fishing, and raising horses.

Jordyn

Vet Technician

Jordyn grew up in Nebraska. She moved to Florida for school. Has always loved animals and came to work with EWAH in June 2023. In her spare time, Jordyn can be found with her head in a fiction novel or exploring the outdoors. Jordyn has a spicy cat named Pickles.

Leia

Part-time

Leia has lived in the Tampa area her entire life and she is currently pursuing a B.S. degree in Biology at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. At the university, she is a member of the collegiate gymnastics team and was recruited during high school. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree in 2023, she is attending University of Wisconsin College of Veterinary Medicine. Leia will be working with us as her college schedule allows.

At home, Leia has two English bulldogs (Biscuit and Poe) as well as two cats, a Persian, and Maine Coon Mix (Simba and Lola). During her time off she enjoys spending time with family and friends while enjoying her time outside in nature, and training for gymnastics.

Caitlin

Part-time

Caitlin graduated from Steinbrenner High School with a CVA certification. She currently attends college in North Carolina with a major in biology, aspiring to become a veterinarian later. She is committed to expanding her knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the lives of animals.
When she's not immersed in her studies, Caitlin can be found on the tennis court, hitting the gym, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or enjoying quality time with her loved ones. Her enthusiasm for learning and diverse interests makes her a valuable addition to any team.
