Angelica – Veterinary Technician

Born and Raised in the Tampa Area, Angelica has been a part of the EWAH team since spring of 2017. She has been in the Veterinary Field for more than 4 years,specializing in client education and rare medical conditions. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program to become certified and recently finished her certification as Fear Free Professional. At home Angelica has 4 furry members – Autumn, Dino, Pebbles, and Kitty, all of which are rescues. Outside of work Angelica enjoys spending time with her friends and family, attending continuing education courses, and amateur photography.

Savannah – Lead Receptionist, Veterinary Technician

Savannah is a both a Veterinary Technician at EWAH, as well as our Lead Trainer of Client Care Coordinators. She has been a part of our team since September of 2016. Savannah is a Florida native and was born in Tampa. She has received her Associates of Science degree from Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo and has received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from UWF in Zoology with a Business minor. She aspires to continue her education studying animal behaviors and hopes to one day work with elephants. Savannah has worked with animals such as rhinos, primates, camels, zebras, exotic cats, and giraffes. In her free time Savannah loves to read, cook, visit family, travel, and go to the dog park/beach with her Staffordshire terrier, Jade.

Courtney – Veterinary Assistant

Courtney is a part-time veterinary assistant at EWAH, and began her career with us in May of 2018. In addition, she is a full-time student at The University of South Florida Majoring in Integrative Animal Biology. Courtney was born and raised in Tampa, and  aspires to attend Veterinary School after completing her undergraduate studies. In addition to school, Courtney is completing her certification to become a Fear Free Certified Professional, and also attends CE lectures and events. She has an obsession with bulldogs and plans on getting her own once she has graduated Vet school. Currently At home Courtney has her crazy but cute kitten Nala. Outside of work Courtney enjoys reading, singing , dancing, acting and relaxing at the beach.

Lizzy – Admin. Assistant

Lizzy was born and raised in Miami, Florida and just over a year ago; relocated to the Tampa area. Lizzy’s love for animals began at such a young age and continued to increase over time. She grew up always have dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, and sometimes exotics such as reptiles and pocket pets. At the age of 15, Lizzy decided the veterinary field was her dream career and started volunteering for a wildlife center and a few small animal practices.Her dream at the time; was to become a veterinarian however, after working in the field for over 6 years as a Vet Tech; East West Animal Hospital made a different dream come true! She never knew how much she would love the side of administrative work along with her biggest passion now social media. When beginning, East West Animal Hospital- She was pregnant with her first baby boy named Jacob who is currently only 2 months old and Dr. Register welcomed her in opening arms to become the hospital’s social media operator and admin assistant. Lizzy didn’t expect that EWAH would change her life forever but it has in the best way possible. She owes it all to the practice for opening her eyes to what she truly was meant to become one day which is Veterinary Social Media Marketer/ Assistant Manager. Lizzy couldn’t be more blessed to have this opportunity of a lifetime!

Jade – Support Staff

This pretty pitty has been working part-time with us since 2016. Her primary duties include greeting clients and patients at the front desk, taste-testing new treats, and supervising new staff training. She is 4 years old and loves attention, eating tv remotes, and playing with her feline brother. She is also an emotional support dog for her mom Savannah (and most of the team)! We are furever grateful for Jade’s loyalty to East-West.

Rachel – Veterinary Technician

Rachel started as a volunteer in June 2016 at EWAH, volunteering during the summers while not in school. She has lived in Florida for most of her life, calling the Tampa area home. In December 2017, she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Southern Adventist University near Chattanooga, TN, and shortly after started working with us in January of 2018. After applying to veterinary schools before graduating, she accepted the invitation to join the Class of 2022 at the University of Tennessee, where she currently resides. She still works seasonal-part-time on holidays and summers! Her rambunctious but shy cat Kayli keeps her occupied at home when she is not enjoying SCUBA diving, hiking, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family.
