WELLNESS CHECKS AND IMMUNIZATIONS
A Healthy Pet is a Happy Pet. East West encourages annual wellness exams for the early detection and prevention of health issues with your pet. Annual examinations are thorough and include routine blood-work to detect problems early. Essential immunizations are administered at the time of the exam to insure your pet’s health safety and in compliance with state and local regulations. Annual, or if needed, Semi Annual wellness checks are individualized for your pet based on age, breed, weight, lifestyle and genetic predisposition to disease. Screening for heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney disease are just a few issues that can be identified and treated early with regular check-ups.

Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Advanced dental care and digital dental radiography is available. Anesthesia and careful monitoring insure your pet’s comfort and safety during the procedure.
East-West recommends micro-chipping for all your pets. Microchips are popular, reliable, and effective ways to permanently identify your pets and aides in their recovery if they are lost or stolen. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery. The procedure is safe and quick. The chip is small, about the size and shape of a grain of rice, and is easily inserted under your pet’s skin. Once the microchip is in place, the owner must register the microchip with the national data base. When a pet is scanned with a microchip scanner an identification number will appear. This number is linked to a national data base that has all of the owner’s contact information. East-West includes updating your microchip information as a part of your pets annual wellness exam.
