Joy – Manager
Joy joined the EWAH Team in August of 2015. She was born in Tampa, Fl and traveled the United States until returning to Tampa in 2008. She has been in the veterinary field since 2008. Her passion lies in educating clients in pet health, and is an advocate for rescuing all animals, large and small. She believes in providing love and gentle care for pets, and is a certified Fear Free Professional. Her passion in Veterinary Medicine lies in teaching and encouraging her peers about compassion fatigue and self-care. In her free time she can be found volunteering with Pibbles to the Rescue, judging fly-ball competitions, and spending time with her family. She enjoys cooking, kayaking, and going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with her husband. Joy has 4 pets, Ginger a 14 lb Pomeranian, a pair of cat brothers from a rescue litter, Mario & Luigi, & the newest addition, Yoshi, a black cat!

Savannah – Lead Receptionist, Veterinary Nurse
Savannah is a both a Veterinary Technician at EWAH, as well as our Lead Trainer of Client Care Coordinators. She has been a part of our team since September of 2016. Savannah is a Florida native and was born in Tampa. She has received her Associates of Science degree from Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo and is going to receive her Bachelor’s of Science degree from UWF in Zoology with a Business minor. She aspires to continue her education studying animal behaviors and hopes to one day work with elephants. Savannah has worked with animals such as rhinos, primates, camels, zebras, exotic cats, and giraffes. In her free time Savannah loves to read, cook, visit family, travel, and go to the dog park/beach with her Staffordshire terrier, Jade.

Angelica – Veterinary Nurse
Born and Raised in the Tampa Area, Angelica has been a part of the EWAH team since spring of 2017. She has been in the Veterinary Field for more than 4 years,specializing in client education and rare medical conditions. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program to become certified and recently finished her certification as Fear Free Professional. At home Angelica has 4 furry members – Autumn, Dino, Pebbles, and Kitty, all of which are rescues. Outside of work Angelica enjoys spending time with her friends and family, attending continuing education courses, and amateur photography.
Rachel – Veterinary Nurse
Rachel started as a volunteer in June 2016 at EWAH, volunteering during the summers while not in school. She has lived in Florida for most of her life, calling the Tampa area home. In December 2017, she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Southern Adventist University near Chattanooga, TN, and shortly after started working with us in January of 2018. After applying to veterinary schools before graduating, she accepted the invitation to join the Class of 2022 at the University of Tennessee in the fall of 2018. Her rambunctious but shy cat Kayli keeps her occupied at home when she is not enjoying SCUBA diving, hiking, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family.
